2006: 9-4--(5-3) 2007:BB Prediction 8-4--(5-3)
Offense
Returning Starters: 8
2006: 34th in Scoring, 8th in Rushing, 72nd in Passing, 18th Overall
The offense begins and ends with QB Stephen McGee (2,295 yds, 12TDs, 2INTs) but he has plenty of help this year. A&M has both RBs returning, thunder (Lane) and lightning (Goodson), and the rest of the offense is loaded with upperclassmen. They should be able to control the line of scrimmage, but the question remains: Will there be enough of a passing game to keep defenses from loading the "Box"?
Defense
Returning Starters: 6
2006: 44th in Scoring, 55th in Rushing, 44th in Passing, 46th Overall
Much like the offense, the defense is stacked with upperclassmen and the beasts up front lead the way. DL Red Bryant is a good NFL prospect and DE Chris Harrington is to the defense like McGee is to the offense. LBs Dodge and Tupe have experience in the middle and in the secondary CBs Gorrer and Peterson are back for 2007 along with FS Gregg.
Overall
A&M has a shot at the Big XII title, but their schedule is not favorable:
2007 Schedule Predicted:
S.1 Montana St.--W
S.8 Fresno St.--W
S.15 UL Monroe--W
S.20 at Miami--L
S.29 Baylor--W
O.6 OSU--W
O.13 at Texas Tech--W
O.20 at Nebraska--L
O.27 Kansas--W
N.3 at OU--L
N.10 at Missouri--L
N.23 Texas--W
Questions
Can McGee throw the ball enough to keep defenses at bay?
Is A&M capable of pulling an upset on the road against either Miami, Mizzou, Nebraska, or OU?
Does Fran keep his job after this year?
When will these Farmers ever be consider a top-tier Big XII team?

Whoop!
Whoop!
Yes, Whoop!
A&M is going to run shop this year. Beat OU, Miami, Nebraska and Mizzu, and play LSU in the MNC. Your big 12 champs, Texas, are extremely overrated. They do not have the overall talent to hang with the ags, ou or osu (yes i send osu), there heads are so pumped up by bandwagoners that they cannot see the terrible state of their defense or the lack of an offensive line. Cart McCrybaby will be injured or his receivers will be in jail for the Aggie game anyway which makes this the best prediction in your analysis.
Miami is nothing but a branch of the South Florida Correctional Unit, with no home field advantage or offense to speak of.
OU shouldn't even be allowed to play this season because of their major recruiting infractions. Even though they destroyed the Screaming Eagles, they boil down to a defense that must pitch shut outs to defeat good teams (which will not happen).
I will not even respond to Mizzu.
The only team that i believe will have a chance at beating the Ags are the Cornpickers. Playing at Nebraska is always tough and after beating USC at the beginning of the season, they will have a large amount of confidence going into the game. I see us winning the game by a 63 yard field goal during freak snowstorm.
In summary, Ags win!!
